This Privacy Policy explains how VantyxPoint LLC ("VantyxPoint," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Savory platform at savory.vantyxpoint.com and related services (the "Service"). It is part of and incorporated into our Terms of Service.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About Savory and your role
Savory is a business-to-business service used by restaurants and similar businesses ("Customers"). We handle two general kinds of information:
- Customer and account information that businesses provide to set up and use the Service. For this information, we act as the controller.
- Operational content that a Customer chooses to put into the Service, which may include limited information about that Customer's own staff or guests. For this content, the Customer is responsible for it, and we process it on the Customer's behalf as a service provider.
If you are a guest or employee of a restaurant that uses Savory and you have questions about your information, please contact that restaurant directly.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide to us:
- Account and business details, such as your name, email address, business name, restaurant address, and related profile information.
- Operational content you add to the Service, such as menus, pricing, inventory notes, marketing inputs, and similar materials.
- Third-party credentials you choose to connect, such as an image-generation API key, which we store in encrypted form.
- Communications you send to us, such as support requests.
Payment information:
- Subscription payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers. We receive limited billing details such as confirmation of payment and the type and last digits of the card.
Information we collect automatically:
- Usage and log data, such as features used, actions taken, pages viewed, timestamps, and error data.
- Device and connection data, such as IP address, browser type, and operating system.
- Cookies and similar technologies, as described below.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service, including to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. We may also use a limited amount of analytics to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent the Service from working.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Generate the Service's features, including AI-assisted suggestions and content.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Provide support and respond to your requests.
- Secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug problems.
- Improve and develop the Service, including through aggregated and de-identified analysis.
- Send you service-related and, where permitted, marketing communications.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. How AI features process your information
To provide AI-assisted features, content from the Service is sent to third-party AI providers that process it to generate results we return to you. This currently includes Anthropic for text-based AI features and OpenAI for voice transcription. These providers process the content to perform the requested task. We do not sell your information, and we do not authorize these providers to use your content to train their models beyond what is necessary to provide their service to us, to the extent their terms allow.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:
Service providers (subprocessors). We use trusted third parties to run the Service. These currently include:
- Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting)
- Vercel (application hosting and deployment)
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Anthropic (AI text features)
- OpenAI (voice transcription)
- Resend (transactional email)
- Bloom (image generation, used through your own connected account)
- Apify (gathering publicly available competitor information)
- Nominatim (location lookup)
These providers may process information only to provide services to us. This list may change as the Service evolves.
Legal and safety. We may share information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of VantyxPoint, our Customers, or others.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your information.
With your direction. We share information when you ask us to or when you connect a third-party integration.
7. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After your account is closed, we may retain and then delete or de-identify information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
8. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, encrypted storage of sensitive credentials, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us at privacy@vantyxpoint.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. You can also:
- Update your account information in the Service.
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link, though we may still send service-related messages.
If your information was provided to the Service by a restaurant that uses Savory, please direct your request to that restaurant, and we will support them as needed.
10. Location of processing
The Service is operated in the United States and is intended for businesses in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email. Changes take effect when posted unless stated otherwise. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
